The following items need to be turned in to the Athletic Office before a student will be able to
participate in Athletics.
A new physical is required each year you are in sports and must be taken after February 1st. Any physical taken after February 1st will be honored for the remainder of the school year and the following school year. The form is available under the “forms” tab.
The parent permission section must be signed on the MSHSAA Participation Form.
Proof of insurance (carrier and policy #) is required for each student before they are allowed to participate.
You must sign off that you have read the MSHSAA materials on Concussions. This information is available under the “forms” tab.
There is a $50.00 activity fee that needs to be paid prior to try-outs. It is good for any and all sporting activities, cheerleading, pantherettes and majorettes that students participate in for that school year.
In order to be eligible to participate in athletics, you must have passed 6 classes during the second semester of the previous school year and be currently enrolled in 6 classes. Winter and Spring athletes must have passed 6 classes during the first semester of the school year they are in. Please notice these requirements: 6 passing grades – NOT INCLUDING TAP!
All students entering their freshman year are eligible to participate in athletics and must be currently enrolled in 6 classes. Winter and Spring athletes must have passed 6 classes during first semester of the school year they are in.
All equipment issued to an athlete is his/her responsibility. An athlete whose equipment is not returned will be charged the replacement price, regardless of condition. Athletes, who delay the returning of their equipment, including leaving it in their gym locker, may face administrative action and report cards will be held until all delinquent equipment is either returned or paid for.
