Multiple Teams · St. Louis County lifts restrictions on “Moderate” sports – MHS begins competing Sept. 28

Dear Mehlville High School families,

We wanted to provide you with an update on athletics given St. Louis County’s changes to youth sports recommendations.

The new recommendations now allow our moderate-frequency of contact sports teams to compete, this includes soccer, softball, volleyball, field hockey, cheer and dance.

Mehlville High School and Oakville High School will follow the St. Louis Suburban Conference Spectator Guidelines for all athletic events taking place at our schools. These guidelines include the following:

  • Two guardians per home participant will be allowed up to a maximum of 50 people at outdoor events.

  • Families must share names of spectators with coaches 24 hours prior to the game.

  • No spectators of the visiting team will be allowed at events.

  • No spectators will be allowed at indoor events.

  • Face coverings must be worn by spectators at all times.

  • Social distancing must be followed at all events.

  • If these guidelines are not followed, the spectator will be asked to leave campus.

Please continue to practice social distancing, wear face coverings, avoid large groups and wash your hands in order to reduce spread of the virus in the community.

Sincerely,

Jason Landherr

Mehlville High School Principal
